Editorial Policy v1 draft - pending legal review 2026-05

Editorial independence policy.

Hlido publishes independent reviews intended to be evidence-led, publicly legible, and resistant to sponsor pressure.

Independence

  • Scores and review conclusions are determined by Hlido alone.
  • No sponsor, partner, or reviewed company may pre-approve a score, edit a verdict, or veto publication.
  • Corrections may be made when factual errors are demonstrated, but score changes require a documented re-verification event.

Commercial separation

  • Hlido does not accept paid-for-ranking placements.
  • Hlido does not sell score adjustments.
  • Badge or verification fees, where offered, pay for service work and evidence handling, not for favorable outcomes.

Algorithmic re-verification

Re-verification and badge revocation are intended to be triggered by product changes, freshness windows, or evidence quality issues. A badge can be revoked or paused when the evidence chain no longer supports the public claim.

Ownership restrictions

Hlido does not intend to hold equity in agents that it reviews. If this position ever changes for any reason, the relationship must be disclosed clearly before any review remains public.
