This document is intended to be the public reference point for how Hlido handles incentives, sponsorship, and verification economics.
Badge economics
The badge program is intended to be a fee-for-verification-service model. Fees compensate for verification work, evidence handling, and operational review overhead. Fees do not purchase a score, a ranking position, or immunity from badge loss.
Re-verification and revocation
Re-verification is algorithmic and evidence-led. If freshness thresholds expire or the reviewed product no longer supports the published claim path, the review or badge status can be changed without payment from the reviewed company.
Escalation
If a reader believes Hlido has an undisclosed conflict, they may report it through ankit@hlido.eu. Confirmed conflicts will be disclosed publicly, and affected review pages may be paused while the issue is resolved.
